Why Secure Email?

By itself, Internet email is an unsecured communications channel.  Messages sent via standard Internet email travel in "plain text" and cross many networks before reaching their final destination.  As a result, opportunity exists for non recipients to eavesdrop on email messages as they travel within these various networks. Since confidentiality cannot be guaranteed, standard Internet email should not be used to exchange sensitive or non-public personal information such as social security numbers, bank account numbers, financial statements, etc.

How Does ASI Secure Email Work?

When ASI sends you a secure email message, the message is sent to a secure data center where it will be held for you to retrieve.  At the same time, a notification message is sent to you which will inform you that an ASI Secure Email message is waiting to be retrieved.  The notification message will contain a link to a secure web site. Simply click on the link, log into the secure web site and retrieve your message.

How Do I Create An Account?

The first time you use ASI Secure Email, you will be prompted to create an account.  You will be instructed to supply your email address and a password to establish your account.  You will use this password each time you log onto ASI Secure Email.  A confirmation message will be sent to the email address of record, and all you will need to do is to click the link in the confirmation email to complete the account setup process.  You can now begin using your ASI Secure Email account.

How Do I Retrieve A Secure Email From ASI?

When ASI sends you a secure email message, you will receive notification via standard Internet email. Click the link contained in the notification message which will take you to the login screen where you will enter the information used when you created your account. If this is your first time using  ASI Secure Email, you will have to create a new account. Once logged in, you can read your ASI Secure Email, download it to your computer or send a secure reply.

How Do I Send A Secure Email To ASI?

To send an ASI Secure Email message to ASI, click on any ASI Secure Email link on ASI's web site.  You will be taken to the login screen where you will be prompted to enter your email address and password that you used when you created your account.  If this is your first time using ASI Secure Email, you will have to create a new account.  Once logged in, you can create a new ASI Secure Email message by clicking on the "Compose" tab.
